Ministry Team

The Gungahlin Anglican Church ministry team consists of a two ministers (a Senior Minister and an Associate Minister), a part-time Children and Families worker, as well as many volunteers who work within the various ministries.

In addition, we have a Parish Council made up of four Wardens and seven Parish Councillors.

Ministers

Senior Minister - Michael Dasey

New photo coming soon.

Michael and his wife Naomi are both from Inverell and have four children (Hannah, Emma, Samuel and William). Michael is a secondary teacher by background and both he and Naomi taught in Tamworth and in New Guinea before heading to Moore College in Sydney.

They served in 3 parishes in the Diocese of Armidale over a twenty year period - in Gunnedah for 12 years prior to coming to Canberra in December 2005.

Michael is a passionate (though slowing) touch football player, enjoys watching most sports and playing golf. He loves teaching the Bible, seeing people come to love Jesus and having coffee with his wife.

Associate Minister - Andrew Taylor

New photo coming soon.

Andrew and his wife Michelle have four children. Originally from Bega, Andrew studied in Armidale then worked in Canberra and Sydney for St George Bank, before starting Theological study at SMBC (Sydney Missionary and Bible College)

Andrew was ordained into the Armidale Diocese in December 2001. He spent 2 years as the Assistant Minister in Gunnedah, then 4 years as the Vicar of the Cockburn Valley (Kootingal/Moonbi), just north of Tamworth. Andrew and his family moved back to Canberra at the beginning of 2008 to take up the position of Associate Minister with Gungahlin Anglican Church.

Andrew has been involved with a variety of Army Units since 1989. He currently serves as part of the Chaplaincy team at Royal Military College, Duntroon.

Andrew loves eating pizza, watching DVDs and is continually amazed at the impact Jesus has on the lives of people through history and today!
