Bible Studies
Over 60 short Bible studies for groups or personal devotions are available at
www.30minutebiblestudies.com. These studies were written by
Deb Horscroft and Narelle Atkins for the GAPs Growth Group. New studies are added regularly and articles are also available to provide background
information and reviews of helpful books relevant to the studies.
The aim in writing these studies was to discover what the Bible really said verse by verse and how it was relevant to the people it was written for
originally, and how it was relevant to us now. The ladies from GAPs began working through the Gospel of Mark,
refusing to skip the difficult sections. There was so much Old Testament prophecy involved in Mark that the next project was a grand overview of
the Old Testament through the lives of God's people. The most recent challenge was to tackle the important teachings of the
Bible as they are revealed in the Old Testament, find their fulfilment in Jesus and then are applied to the early church in the writings of Paul and
other New Testament writers. This ambitious project became known as Messages from the Messiah, and includes topics
such as repentance, forgiveness, redemption, atonement and the Kingdom of God.
