We are a Canberra based church and therefore care about people and issues in our local region. Locally, we partner with Anglicare and Burgmann Anglican School to reach, serve, and support the community.
We are also working towards a combined church outreach program in ACT schools.
As a mission-minded church, Gungahlin supports the work of mission organisations throughout Australia and the world. One of the ways we do this is by establishing support relationships with missionaries who are working in the field to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Gungahlin currently has links with two missionary families working for the Church Missionary Society (CMS) and Bush Church Aid Society (BCA).
Rob and Arabelle Horne are serving in Leipzig, Germany with CMS. Gary and Nikki Alexander are serving in Kunnanurra in North West Australia with BCA. Geoff and Martha Boye are serving in Arusha, Tanzania also with CMS.
The parish is also in prayer support of members Ray and Isabella Johnston’s Bible translation and development work in Nakanai, on the island of New Britain in PNG. If you want to follow their work, you can add Ray on Facebook or email him (just contact the church office for his details).
